How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Recording Studio?

Real prices, real costs, and what affects the price of a recording session in Poland.

In short: A session at Flightcore costs 200 PLN/h with an engineer or 150 PLN/h self-engineered. Plan for 2-3 hours per track — with an engineer that lands at 400-600 PLN. Post-production on top of that: full mix from 500 PLN, vocal mix alone from 400 PLN, mastering from 300 PLN. A standard single from recording to finished file sits in the 1100-1300 PLN range.

Recording studio prices in Poland start at a few dozen PLN per hour at the simplest home studios and reach a few thousand for a day at the top-tier rooms.

A few variables sit behind that spread, and they’re worth knowing before you pick a place to track your material.

How much does an hour in a recording studio cost in Poland?

The Polish market splits into two clear bands.

Smaller studios and home studios with ambition start at 50-100 PLN/h. Usually one person handles everything — tracks, mixes, brews the tea. Some are excellent rooms run by passionate people. Others are places where the floor sticks.

Professional studios sit in the 120-300 PLN/h band. Proper acoustics, studio-grade gear (not domestic), an experienced engineer running the session.

At Flightcore we offer two core options:

  • Session with engineer: 200 PLN/h
  • Self-engineered: 150 PLN/h

The lead vocal on a single usually takes 30-40 minutes of clean tracking, but on top of that you have prep time, monitor setup, warm-up takes, and work on the layers (adlibs, doubles, harmonies).

Realistically: plan for 2-3 hours per track.

What are you actually paying for in a recording studio?

A 500 PLN microphone and a 15,000 PLN microphone record the same voice. They record different sound, though. The difference lives in the details — how the mic catches sibilance, how it handles dynamics, how it sits over the beat.

On top of that come preamps, converters, acoustic panels, bass traps, and the entire signal chain you can’t build at home.

A properly treated room is the foundation — without it, even the most expensive mic won’t land. You can have a Neumann U87, but if you’re standing in a room with bare walls, the corner reflections will eat half the vocal.

A professional studio invests serious money in acoustics — and that’s a sizable share of what you’re paying for when you rent the room.

What session options do we offer at Flightcore?

Self-engineered — 150 PLN/h

You get the door code and track on your own. The gear is set up, the DAW project ready to go.

Right for people who know what they’re doing, or who’d rather experiment in quiet without an engineer in the room.

Session with engineer — 200 PLN/h

The engineer runs the session start to finish: mic setup, level control, take after take, comping the best fragments together.

You focus on performance only. The most reasonable variant, especially on early sessions when the mechanics of studio work are still new.

Creative session — 200 PLN/h

Here the engineer actively co-creates the track. Suggesting harmonies, arranging adlibs, proposing changes to the lyric or the flow. The industry calls this “vocal production” — someone experienced helping you pull more out of the song than just clean tracking.

Production session — individual quote

If you want a beat built around your idea from scratch, rather than something off the rack, we sit down with a producer and build the composition from drums through bass to the melodies. We work with electric piano, keyboards, and synthesizers.

The final beat is shaped to your key, tempo, and energy. You get it exclusively, with an exclusive license and freedom to keep working on the track. We set the price after a short conversation about the project.

How much does mix and mastering cost outside the session?

A vocal tracked in the studio is raw material. For the track to sound radio-ready, it has to go through processing.

At Flightcore, mix and mastering pricing looks like this:

ServicePrice
Full mix (vocal + beat)from 500 PLN
Vocal mix (on a finished instrumental)from 400 PLN
Masteringfrom 300 PLN

A professional mix on a single takes the engineer 4 to 12 hours, depending on track count and material complexity. Mastering adds another 1-3 hours of work on the final polish — leveling loudness to the -14 LUFS standard (a streaming-platform requirement), refining frequencies, controlling sibilance, and ensuring sonic consistency across different playback systems.

For context: in the Polish market, mix rates run from 300 PLN to 2000-3000 PLN per track, mastering from 150 to 1000 PLN. The spread comes from engineer experience, monitoring quality, and the revision scope included.

How much does recording one track end-to-end cost?

A real estimate for a single looks like this:

StageCost
Recording session (2-3h with engineer)400-600 PLN
Vocal mixfrom 400 PLN
Masteringfrom 300 PLN
Total~ 1100-1300 PLN

If you need a full mix (vocal plus beat) instead of a vocal-only mix, the total moves to around 1200-1600 PLN.

That’s the price of a professional single ready for streaming platforms.

Where is Flightcore studio?

We operate at Mickiewicza 9, Warsaw, on the border of Śródmieście and Żoliborz, 600 meters from the Dworzec Gdański station. Reachable by metro, tram, bus, or car (the surrounding streets have plenty of parking in the evenings).

A central location makes the trip easy from anywhere in Warsaw — no expedition to the edge of town once the session ends.

What drives the final session cost?

The cost of recording in a studio comes down to a few variables: time, gear, the engineer’s skill, and the scope of services you use. The hourly rate alone says little about a studio’s value — a better signal is how the material coming out of it sounds.

If you want to know exactly what your session would cost, drop a message or call. We’ll quote it concretely, with no surprises on the invoice. We’re also happy to give a short tour of the studio before you book — you’ll understand what you’re paying for faster once you see the place from the inside.
